This 12×12 record cover grapples with mental health issues abstractly, much like the album does, presenting a contrast between the artist’s vibrant mind and her demons. Because this record was conceived as a re-release, it had to add enough to the visuals and story of the album to be worthwhile to fans as a collector’s item.

BADLANDS
I aimed for heavily textured flat design reminiscent of the cityscapes in Polish Movie Posters of the early 1900s. The concept riffed off of the song Gasoline to become a post-apocalyptic, desert themed Bladerunner. Whether the influences come through, the viewer gets a sense of isolation and decay in a vast world, offset by use of balance and whimsical color.
